About

I'm a software engineer at J.P. Morgan in London, where I work on distributed databases. Outside of work I contribute to Apache Cassandra, most recently Direct I/O for compaction, which cut p99 read latency by 5x.

This blog is where I write up what I learn along the way: distributed systems, database internals, and performance work, usually with numbers.
